This project was a custom commission for the fiber artist Tabitha Arnold. The loom was specially designed to meed the ergonomic and technical needs of the artist, who used it to create large scale tapestry works with integrated interactive components. Collapsible and re-configurable, it demonstrates the possibilities of augmenting ancient materials and techniques (weaving and woodworking) with contemporary approaches. Funded by a grant from the Drexel University ExCITe Center.
