Through numerous iterations over the course of two years, this project took its final form as a spiritual sibling to 13th century French and English cathedrals. Like the work of medieval architects and masons, its design follows the era’s innovative combinations of Euclid’s Elements and Christian numerology. For inspiration, a historical research project yielded numerous sources. These include rare surviving architectural documents from the era, as well as remnants of the building process left on plaster “tracing floors” in cathedrals such as York Minster.
Modeled in Rhino and Grasshopper, rendered in Keyshot and finished with the Adobe Suite.
